  This was our second time using Oldja. First time is was with Sr. Oldja and the small granite job went smooth. Second job included an entire kitchen remodel (cabinets, backsplash, granite, etc.). Started off with Johnny and looking at designs. I should've known something was off when he wanted to consolidate my cabinets and stated it'll look/function fine. That mistake took two additional weeks since the cabinets that came in based on his design were incorrect in size and placement. A job that was supposed to take 2-4 weeks ended up taking 3 months in full to complete. Majority due to their lack of detail. When the correct cabinets came in, they installed one damaged and only addressed it when we pointed it out. No pride in their work.
  
  Regarding quality, we were advised to pick out our own backsplash and Johnny quoted us what we would need. The subcontractors that came to install and stated Johnny was way off and that we needed additional tile. I went out and purchased tile that was non-refundable, and of course, they ended up not needing any of it. So in this aspect Johnny was correct, but his subcontractors were wrong. When I have to request the subcontractor to add an extra row of backsplash behind the refrigerator so it looks finished with no gap and you're told NO, that was upsetting. We contracted Oldja to complete a job in what they told us would be "paint ready" when they were done. What they considered "done" was gaps/holes in the drywall from the old cabinets, and a rough finish that required a skim coat. When they finally came back to complete this work, it was done on their schedule on the side because they considered it work that was being done for free. The granite folks were great, they arrived on time, very courteous, and even fixed our outside granite slab that sagged when the kitchen was being torn apart, something the subcontractor denied they did and refused to fix stating "what did you do" when we brought it to their attention.
  
  Another additional charge that was incurred outside of the signed contract was when Johnny measured the granite incorrectly. We get down to the bottom line making the final payment and there's an additional charge for 3 more square feet of granite. He told us his measurement was short. He refused to cover this charge. Tell us up front rather than hiding it in at the last minute.
  
  We even made it a point to ask the subcontractor if all the jobs are this disorganized and they said NO and with no apology. We were very happy to have dealt with Sr Oldja in the past and this was why we came back, but as far as we are concerned, all this company cares about is getting paid and moving on to the next job.
  
  We do not recommend this company.
